Low engine idle speed
Engine speed too low on idle (1300rpm?), stalled engine on one occasion when both pilot and instructor pulled the power at the same time. Please increase to ~1800rpm - thanks.
Low fuel level light on intermittently
Oil leak
Spraying oil over the tailplane after 30 minute flight. The oil thermostat to pump supply pipe was remade after Pirtek visit - but it doesn't look seated properly at the thermostat side. Oil leak could be from other source - need to investigate. ****** Update 04Nov2024 ****** Crimp removed and oil hose refitted with new crimp. Oil refilled and tailplane washed. Monitor Oil pressure (obvs!) and monitor oil after next flight. NIP 04Feb2024. ****** Update 11 Feb 2024 ******* Test flight all good - tailplane clean, oil appears contained. Some old oil on the underside of the tail plane to be cleaned. Monitor for time being. NIP 11Feb2024. ******** Update 23 Mar 2024 ******** Still oil spraying over tailplane. Suspect copper washer at the bottom of the oil tank and also banjo bolt washers on the bottom of the dry sump. Please investigate NIP23Mar2024. ***** Update 28Mar2024 ************ Oil smoke detected (smelled) during flight. Evidence of oil on the tailplane. Oil leak found at the magnetic plug, evidence of washer is split. (See photo) NIP 28Mar2024. *****Update 06Apr24 ******** Oil leak seems reduced with new copper washers on the banjo bolt, but evidence of oil on the oil pump face plate (see photo #2). Oil might be from the plate sealing surface, the oil pressure transducer, main oil feed, the oil temperature sensor or the oil filter itself. Please investigate further. NIP 06NIP24. ***** Update 18Apr2024 ****** Copper washer replaced on bottom of oil tank. A small amount of absorbent material has been put around the filler neck to see if the oil cap is leaking. Cable tied in place. Still evidence of oil drip from the oil pump seam where it bolts to the engine. NIP 18Apr2024
